Current Issues
Each year students focus on one leading environmental and/or natural resources issue facing our world. As a team, they will analyze the issue, taking an in-depth look to explore the many facets of the issue and the complexities of real-life decision making. Past Current Issues have found students focusing on soil health, the relationship between agriculture and the environment, water quality issues, changes in our climate, recreational impacts on natural resources, invasive species and so many more!

Current Issues
As the Current Issue changes from year to year, the Learning Objectives for this area are slightly different than the others. These learning objectives seek to distill the core concepts and skills that we want the students to bring to any Current Issue study, whatever the particular topic may be for that year. The Current Issue Learning Objectives are meant to be used in conjunction with the topic-specific learning objectives developed by the Host State/Province that can be found here .
